Held under COVID restrictions, some keys points

1. No on the day entries, except fun run athletes

2. No catering available this year I’m afraid.

3. Toilets are limited to the public ones in the Bedford carpark next to the Wharf.

4. Additional holding areas are required for runners to maintain social distancing

RELAY GUIDE NOTES 2021
Runners,
Welcome to Tavistock Town Relays. They’ve been going since 1986 and we’re proud that entry fee proceeds go to Tavistock Lions good causes. Last year we handed a cheque over for £1500, so thank you for your support.
Below are some guidelines that I hope will help. My biggest concern is safety – please do not wander across the track(path) without looking and absolutely do not cross near the changeover area. Incoming runners are travelling fast & trying to spot their team mate. Please pay attention & respect that.

RUNNERS NOTES
• At each end of the course there are sharp left turns, do not step out onto the road at these points
• Batons contain electronic chips – please be careful not to peel off the chip. You won’t get a lap/finish time.
• Try not to hold the baton with your hand over the chip.
• Incoming Runners must pass the baton in the changeover box.
• Incoming Runners keep left at end of lap – you MUST go down the exit tunnel. DO NOT GO BACK ACROSS THE PATH NEAR THE CHANGEOVER AREA YOU WILL IMPEDE OTHER RUNNERS.
• Only enter the changeover area when you know your incoming runner is close.
• Wear your race number clearly visible on your chest.
• Outgoing runners please keep right until clear of the start/finish area

Medals for the Category winners will be held at the end of each race.

The race order is based on the names in to the online entry form. An online form will be available after the evening to send in any adjustments. This may take a few days to resolve depending on how many alterations are made.
