The refurbishment is finished – and doesn’t the track look good! And now it’s time to celebrate. We’re going to have a very special Tavy 5k on the 18th May, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a bumper crowd of runners from local clubs, a gathering of the stakeholders that made it all possible, and even cake for everyone after the race. If you can’t run, do come and marshal, or help in other ways, or just come along and be part of it all.
The race should start at the normal 9:15 time, but we will be cutting the ribbon beforehand and we’d like a big crowd of runners in the background. We’re also hoping that finishers will hang around in the D-ring to enjoy the atmosphere as well as the cake, and to cheer on the final runners completing their race.
