Tavistock Rising Stars

Introduction

NOTE:  in a change to previous instructions, entries WILL now be accepted on the day, on the track.

This is an open competition for athletes U11s upwards, aimed at providing a pathway to competition for younger athletes. It takes place on the Tavistock Athletic Club track at Tavistock College on Wednesday 3rd July from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

Events list

U11s – Chose up to three events from the following: 75m, 600m, long jump, vortex

U13s – Chose two events from 100m, 1 mile, long jump, javelin

U15s, U17s, U20 and Seniors – Chose two events from 100m, 300m, 1 mile, long jump, javelin

Entries

Entry fee is £7.00 for two events (three events for U11s). Entries close on Sunday 30th June.  Places allocated on a first come first served basis.  Enter via the link below, then make your payment by BACS using the following details.

Rules

1. RULES: Current UKA Rules will apply – “UKA Rules for Competition”.
2. ELIGIBILITY: Open to all athletes with current affiliation to England Athletics.
3. EVENT RESTRICTIONS: The organising Committee reserves the right to modify the number and timing of events and the races for track events to take account of the size of entry.
4. TRACK EVENTS: These are to be one race only and no heats or finals. Races will be organised by age/gender however, depending on the entries some races may be merged.
5. FIELD EVENTS: For throws events all athletes will have 4 trials. All throwing events will be completed before dusk.
6. EQUIPMENT: TAC equipment will be available for throws events. Starting blocks can be provided.
7. ENTRIES: The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry. A minimum of three entries may be required for an event to be held. All information, start lists, timetables etc. will be displayed on our website at tavistockathletics.co.uk
8. CLOTHING: Club, school or representative vests must be worn and comply with current UKA rules.
9. RESULTS: Preliminary results will be available following the event on the TAC website and once finalised will be submitted to Power of 10.
