Welcome
Tavistock Athletic Club is a friendly community-based club open to all. Established in 1985 we have grown and developed with the Tavistock community to offer all levels of runners and field athletes a phenomenal place to train and be coached. We welcome new members from all backgrounds of athletic ability, from complete non-runners to experienced International-level athletes.
Our Senior section offers 7 different coached groups to allow you to run with people of a similar ability and be able to push yourself as well as not feeling like your being left behind. All groups follow structured sessions developed by our qualified coaching team. Additional support and advice are always available and our leaders and coaches love helping members achieve their goals and ambitions. All sessions will be overseen by a qualified UKA coach and led by UKA qualified leaders who will all have undertaken a DBS Check. To see which group to run in, head over to the Athletes Pathway Here.
Our Junior section offers a supportive and structured coaching environment, helping nurture both talent and fun. The emphasis on developing a range of skills and movements is key. Our coaches work as a team to nurture the development of the juniors. The junior section has a great team of coaches who spend a lot of time and effort into helping the juniors develop. All sessions will be led by a qualified UKA coach who will have undertaken a DBS Check. If you’re looking for junior information then please have a look through our junior welcome pack, which lays out what to expect TAC-Juniors-Welcome-pack. To see which group is right for you head over to the Junior Athlete Path Way
All groups meet at our athletic track at Tavistock College, Crowndale Road, PL19 8DD
We have additional sessions throughout the week and weekend for our members to take advantage of as part of their membership. These include further group training runs, long runs, strength and conditioning, circuit training and social runs. All included as part of the membership.
