Here’s the results of the August running of the Tavy 5k. It was a welcome return for the Tavy 5K after July’s event had to be cancelled due to weather. 68 runners completed the course augmented by some visitors to the area. The overall race winner was Christopher Turner of Okehampton RC with second place (and first lady) going to TAC’s Nicki Kelly. There were strong performances throughout the age groups, particularly the U13 with TAC’s Thomas Hennessey taking this place overall and first U13, and Zoe Bigham, also of TAC taking first U13 girl (and a possible Age Category Record). Four Club ladies entered the Club Records or improved their Record times – Carole Walters (F60), Caroline Stephen (F55), Sarah Holland (F45) and Kate Rogers (F65).
