Dear Fellow Runners,
Having had various discussions about the extraordinary situation the country finds itself in, the Tavy13 organisers have decided to postpone this years event due on Sunday 29th March. Although there might have been options to keep the event below the talked about ‘events less than 500 people’ we felt that in the best interests of everyone’s wellbeing we didn’t encourage a gathering of the Tavy13 participants and spectators at the track. In the short term we’d like to do the following:-
1) hold onto the entry fees whilst we search for an alternative date (hopefully we’ll make an announcement later this week)
2) we will of course refund anyone who cannot make the new date or transfer their entry to the Tavy7 on Sunday October 25th.
We’re aware that the decision to postpone also affects 400 school children who were due to complete their 13th mile in the Primary Schools Challenge. We’ll be discussing with the schools this coming week some alternative arrangements.
From a club who relies on its events for fundraising, I’m sorry that we’ve had to take this decision but feel it is in the best interests of everyone.

Race Director
